What to substitute for wine in cooking?

0

There are non alcoholic wines as well as beers in commerce that you can try. However wine in a recipe can be easily substituted by simple water o broth. That is, if I have to cook for religious Muslims this is exactly what I or any professional chef would do. The result doesn’t change much and the dish can be just as good. In making desserts and sweets that include wine then grape juice or any diluted sweet syrup is the choice. It’s worth noticing that when you add wine to a recipe the alcohol evaporates totally and it’s is not a transgression because there is no more alcohol only the flavor of the grapes. Also to note that the prophet Mohammed wasn’t against wine itself because in his life he drank it and enjoyed it, but against its intoxicating effects that can alter peoples minds. In fact he prohibited the drinking of wine later in his life after one of his disciples who was in a state of drunkenness killed a man. Therefore as when one cooks with wine the alcohol totally evaporates
