What tools are available for Soar?
There are tools and projects which help you to develop your own Soar model. Please, check this site out: sitemaker.umich.edu/soar/soar_tools___projects SCA and SoarDoc: Ronald Chong and Robert Wray at Soar Tech have been using SCA to fit some quantitative learning data and make predictions in a real-time performance/learning task (part of the AFRL AMBR program). They presented a paper at the International Conference on Cognitive Modeling on this work: Wray, R. E. & Chong, R. S. (2003). Quantitative Explorations of Category Learning using Symbolic Concept Acquisition. In Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Cognitive Modeling. Bamberg, Germany. April. There are some minor modifications to SCA to update it for Soar 8. They also have (monotonically) extended SCA to map novel feature values to trained values (introducing novel values is often used in psychological “transfer” experiments).
