What training, abilities and experiences are required for someone wishing to become an interior designer?

One needs to have a passion for design, specifically interior design. However, one can enroll for interior design classes, which might take anywhere between 2 to 3 years. These courses will include basic and advance level course work. Anyone with marketing or business management experience can combine these skills with intensive two year training in interior design to catch up with the aesthetic side of the career. What did you do before you established Zidaka Interiors? I worked in an international insurance company and a courier company up until 2000. In both companies I held different capacities in the customer care department. After this, I founded Furnishings & Effects Interior Decorations; I ran this company while pursuing my interior design studies.
