What type of alcohol has the least number of calories?
The rule for the caloric count for alcohol is this: the lighter the color, the less calories. Darker alcohol has more. Vodka is best, but you can try light rums and gins, as well. But if you’re looking for a low-calorie drink…don’t mix with coke or fruit juice. They’re full of sugar and calories. You can try my favorite low-calorie drink that I rigged up, it’s mojito-inspired: Muddle (that basically means to mash it together) a few fresh mint sprigs, a slice of lemon, and a slice of lime with two packets of Splenda (I find it tastes better than other sweeteners), add a shot of your favorite vodka or rum, let it sit for a bit…add ice, top it off with soda water, shake it up, and enjoy!
