What type of attitude?
“Of, for instance I fired some people because they did drugs; I fired other people because they had a rock star attitude; I fired other people because they couldn’t be on time; I fired other people because they thought they were going to run the ban and I wasn’t. You know what I mean? I always told people this: I said look it, ‘This ship’s got one captain and that’s me.’ … and it’s had many crews but the captain is only as strong as his crew, you know. You’re only as strong as your weakest link. So basically over the years, I just weeded those people out. I got better people; I got a great lineup of guys in my band now. They’re dependable people and they’ve got the right attitude. But you know, they’re also professional people… they’re great players, great performers, and they know what to expect.
