David (as do all of the Vampires) wear opaque yellow contacts. Optometrist, Dr. Jonathan Gording, makes them for the studio. They send all actors/stuntmen to him to be fitted before they work on the series. (It is recommended that anyone planning to wear colored contacts be properly fitted so as not to damage their eyes as the colored contacts are thicker).
