What type of fresh-cut Christmas tree lasts the longest?

BOB: Fir trees are still our favorite. Their extra cost is really worth it when it comes to their longevity, soft needles and that “fresh-peeled Orange” citrus aroma. Douglas Fir is quite popular, but we like the Fraser Fir, with its thick needles highlighted with silver undersides. TIP: When you get your cut tree home, make a fresh cut at the base, and store the tree in a container of water in the garage until it is placed in its stand.

The pine tree is a better option . You have taken a precaution to make a fresh  at the base. You can used tree stand for that.
