Pretty much a dictatorship. Consider that more than 70% of current Russian government is ex-kgb or ex-military from USSR times and you get the idea. As fr as I see they’re pretty much same, except they don’t have to pretend anymore that they live like “common workers” and make millions quite openly. After Putin/Putler came to power Russia enacted 5 or 7 new laws allowing to close/arrest/detain mass media outlets/journalists. There is pretty much no independent TV anymore in Russia. All government controlled. Whatever independent press is left is under hard pressure. Number of journalists killed during Putler’s rule is also no joke. They just banned south park cartoon series as “extremist”. That should give you good understanding how much freedom of speech there is in Russia and how much democracy too. I do agree with others about corruption, Russia is somewhere at the bottom of the list of corrupt countries.
