What type of individual makes a good Fellow?
We seek women who exhibit the following characteristics: A record of remarkable professional achievement early in one’s career This might include making partner in one’s firm; receiving special awards or recognitions; early promotion; founding or starting a successful business/non-profit/program; playing a significant role in a project or campaign; etc. A compelling personal narrative that reflects an ability to lead in the face of adversity Examples of this might include being the first in one’s family to attend college; overcoming a learning or physical disability; facing down discrimination; etc. Alternatively, you could provide an example of a time in which you encountered a substantial challenge or obstacle in your personal or professional life, and explain how you overcame it. Entrepreneurial spirit This does not necessarily entail having founded a business, but rather the demonstrated ability to identify problems and seek solutions. Evidence of good management and communication
