What type of job could i get with a qualification in under water welding?

You don’t usually get a qualification in “underwater welding” its called commercial diving and you are trained to inspect, repair, weld and just about anything else underwater. I suggest taking a 2 year welding program and getting good at welding on land, and then take a commercial diving course. You can get a job just about anywhere, but as far as diving goes you would mostly likely be involved as a repair crew on a offshore oil platform, ship repairs or salvage crew. I thought about taking it but $20000 and a year not working just isn’t worth it, and you can make just as much money as a good pipe welder.
