What type of oil do McDonalds use to fry their french fries in their UK restaurants?

“The cooking oil used in the restaurants is a nonhydrogenated vegetable oil that is a blend of High Oleic Sunflower Oil, High Oleic Rapeseed Oil and standard Rapeseed Oil. It is used to prepare the following products: Chicken McNuggets, Chicken Selects , Chicken Legend patties, McChicken Sandwich patties, Mayo Chicken patties, Filet-o- Fish portions, Spicy Veggie patties, French Fries, Hash Browns and Apple Pies. Over the last 8 years, the levels of Trans Fatty Acids in our cooking oil have been reduced from 30% to below 2%. This is the lowest possible level that can be achieved because of the presence of naturally occurring trans fats in oils.” Sourced from Mcdonald’s own Food Booklet on ther website. http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/static/pdf/food/OurFood-Booklet.
