What type of pasta machine should I buy?

Hi Gil, I highly recommend the Imperia SP150 pasta machine. I’ve used this for 5 years and it’s great for quickly and easily thinning fresh pasta. You get a free fettucini/spaghetti attachment with it, and numerous other long-pasta attachments are available. Oh, and it’s built like it could withstand nuclear armageddon. I have a video review of this machine over on my pasta site if interested… at http://www.pasta-recipes-made-easy.com/i… I haven’t tried the Marcato one… but from what I’ve read on Amazon etc. it’s likely not much different price or quality wise. Just avoid the cheaper Pacific and Chinese knock-off machines… the handles are just too weak. Making short pasta yourself is a different matter, as traditional pasta roller machines don’t really cover making short pasta at all.
