What type of punitive measures should BP suffer over this fiasco?
The only punitive fiasco that I can think of is to hit their bottom line. Make them pay for every penny spent trying to clean up the mess. Make them pay to the family of those who lost their lives. Make them clean up the mess. And, one more thing, go after its execs with criminal charges for the wreckless manner in which they acted, the lives they lost and damages they’ve caused. When enough of those prima donnas get to wear orange suits and are thrown in jail where their assholes are torn to match the size of their egos, they’ll learn what to and not to do and how to behave responsibly.
