Alien Apocalypse is a Sci-Fi channel original movie based on Human in Chains, a Josh Becker and Robert Tapert written work. In the movie, astronaut Dr. Ivan Hood (Bruce Campbell) and his companion Kelly (Renee O’Connor) return from their 40-year-long mission in space to find the planet taken over by locust-like aliens. Now, Dr. Hood must find the President, who allegedly has an army of escaped slaves who will cause a rebellion. Unfortunately, this doesn’t happen and Dr. Hood sparks the rebellion, to later be joined by the president. [edit] Production Most of the shooting for this film was done in Bulgaria, and, according to the DVD commentary, many of the actors in the film were Bulgarian and spoke little English, therefore much of the dialogue was dubbed or “looped” in post-production.
