All workers are required to attend a training class prior to each election. The classes usually begin 6-8 weeks prior to Election Day. Workers who have not been trained before an election are ineligible to participate. If I have worked at the polls before, do I need to apply again for each election cycle? If you have worked the polls on Election Day within the past four years, your record will remain active and you will not have to apply again. If you want to determine whether you are still on the active file, call our office at 744-5855. Can family members work in the same polling place? In Hillsborough County , two people from the same family cannot work as Clerk, Assistant Clerk or Technician in the same precinct.
