What types of assessments will the students be given?
Students will be given: 1. “In Class Assessments” which are assessments that are given after two or three investigations. The assessment will cover science concepts learned from the activities. 2. One or two exam will be given per unit. Exams will cover content from a number of investigations. 3. Lab Assessments. After each class lab investigation students will be asked to explain what he or she learned from the activity. Students will be expected to go home and use their notes and the HW reading to correctly use the new terms he/she learned from the class lab activity as they explain what occurred. **Please note that assessments are not returned until all students have taken the exam or in-class assessment. 4. Presentations. At the end of each unit project students will be expected to present individually or as a group as he/she answers the driving question &/or project challenge.
