What types of benefits are offered to SAIT employees?
For casual instructional employees, or employees hired on an hourly basis, 11.2% is paid in lieu of statutory holiday and vacation pay for non-instructional staff, on top of the hourly rate of pay. In addition, casual employees enjoy 1% of base pay in lieu of benefits. For non-instructional contract employees, 12.2% is paid in lieu of statutory holiday and vacation pay. For employees hired on a salary basis, benefits offered include: life insurance, dental plan, health care, pension (Local Authorities Pension Plan), vacation and a variety of leaves.
