What types of domains exist?
Basically, there are two types of domains: Generic and Territorial domains. Generic domains are of a universal nature, this means that they are not attached to any single country; .com for example refers to websites of a commercial nature, .net refers to websites related to computer networks and .org which refers to websites related to non-profit organizations. On the other hand exist there are domains which have a territorial nature that identifies a certain country. For example .cl identifies Chile, .us identifies the U.S.A. or .com.ar that identifies Argentina.
