NYU offers traditional and apartment style residence halls. Traditional halls offer double and triple rooms and suite arrangements. Most suites have their own bathroom. Apartment style suites provide a kitchen unit and bathroom. Incoming freshmen to the University are assigned to First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) residence halls located in the Washington Square and Union Square area.
