What types of safety and security measures are provided for campus residents?
Security maintains a continuous service on campus and can be reached 24-hours a day. Residence hall staff members are trained to deal with emergency situations. Fire alarm systems and smoke detectors exist in all rooms to ensure the safety of residents. Resident assistants are on duty nightly in each residence hall. How are the residence halls staffed? All residential units are staffed with Resident Assistants and Desk Assistants, who are student staff members of the Residence Life staff, and a Hall Director, a full-time staff person. Other employees working in the residences include the maintenance and custodial staff.
