What Value Added Network (VAN) should I use to trade EDI documents with P&G — Physical Distribution?
We currently execute our Physical Distribution EDI applications by using a simple mail boxing function at our VAN, Kleinschmidt. All transportation transactions to and from P&G must flow through this mailbox function. Because of this requirement, P&G does currently pay for all data in/out of our VAN. If you use a different VAN, or your service provider uses a different VAN, please have your VAN/provider setup an interconnection to Kleinschmidt. P&G is looking into the possibility of offering alternative means of exchanging data in the future.
