What War on Money Laundering?
Another item that is highly relevant to the entire problem of the 9/11 response (fixing the system) and understanding the problem as it really is concerns the efforts to cut the terrorists financial support. Following 9/11 when President Bush declared war on terrorism, he repeated stressed a sub-war to cut the terrorists financial support. This has supposedly been a high priority task since the war on terrorism began. The Commissions view of this problem and an overview of the U.S. governments accomplishments are presented in their report. To date, the U.S. government has not been able to determine the origins of the money used for the 9/11 attack. Ultimately, the question is of little practical significance.
