I was young, 19 years old. I was starry eyed the whole time. I enjoyed it immensely, but I didn’t realize the weight of what I was doing. You only get 60 minutes for four years of hard work. It is very serious and an unbelievable honor. What are your expectations for the Olympic Winter Games in February? You obviously are working for the gold and to beat Canada. It doesn’t matter who we play. I want to play the best team in the gold-medal game. Emotions are going to be running high especially for the Canadians because they are at home. I know we will be able to counter the Canadians’ emotions if we stay focused. Hopefully, we will be able to inspire people to watch women’s hockey. Hockey is much bigger in Canada than other places. This is going to be the hockey Olympics and I’m really excited to be part of this. Have you put a time limit on your hockey career? Are you planning to keep playing for as long as you can?
