Becoming sweet 16 in 1966, life was laid back, you went to school, did as your parents told you, and you respected them. Life was fun and easy, shelling bushels of peas and butter beans, mowing your yard, and your neighbors, going to drive-in movies with your favorite boyfriend, smooching in front seat of car, school parades, football games on Friday nites, cheerleaders having dinner with the football players before the big game, afterward riding to state line for beer, or the truck stop for hamburger steaks… Life was wonderful!
