So life for Mexico was a constant war, and at the end of the rule of Queen victoria she saw a nation at peace, with a Dictator ruling the country and trying to emulate everything that was European. President Porfirio Diaz (1880-1910) was his name, and in Mexican history is know as the “Porfiriato” period.
