What was new for 2009 at the SXSW Interactive Festival?
In 2006, SXSW made a major push into the world of video games with the addition of ScreenBurn. In 2009, the Game Design Competition was added to the ScreenBurn at SXSW lineup. Also new in 2009 was the Microsoft BizSpark Accelerator. This event allows bleeding-edge companies to present their latest products and services to industry experts, early-adopters, bloggers, mainstream media reporters, and leaders of the venture capital community. As always, the 2009 event continued to provide more structured networking opportunities — thereby making it easier for you to run into the types of people that you want to meet. Finally, as encouraged by the SXSW community, the 2009 event featured more technical sessions, as well as more panels discussing advanced-level topics.
