Archaeologists have actually found depictions of “vampire” type creatures in caves I think it was in Mesopotamia but I can’t remember, that dated about 1-2 thousand years ago so I doubt Vlad was the first vampire legend considering there are legends from way before Vlad, and while some may think of Vlad as a monster he is actually considered a national hero in Romania….you can read his biography online…
