What was the inspiration behind the Steve Nash Sports Club?
Steve Nash: I’ve spent my whole life in gyms and feel at home in them. They’ve been an important part of my career and life. I’ve worked out in gyms all over the world and I’ve always felt we had a need for something better in BC. It felt right with my passion for health, fitness and fun to provide that for people. I wanted to give people an opportunity to improve, reach their goals and live a better lifestyle in the same way fitness has improved my life. VV: Why was it important to you that the club be eco-friendly? SN: I’m concerned about the impact we’ve had on the planet and want to continue to learn and encourage others to learn how to protect our environment as well. Whether in my personal life, with my foundation or in business, I try and take a proactive attitude with regard to the environment.
