What was the Mongolian rule ?
In the Middle Ages, a fierce nomadic tribe known as the Mongols invaded not only China, but Europe. Under Batu Khan, the “Golden Horde” sacked towns, accumulating great wealth. Massive destruction was the result – looting of precious metals, trade goods and anything of significant value. The population was massacred or enslaved, and this was the main case in Russian society. Russia succumbed to Mongolian control and influence quickly, because of their constant Westward movement and military dominance. Towns were captured easily and forced to accept the conditions and law codes of the Mongol Tyrant. It was a total re-modelling of people’s lifestyles, their rights, privileges and opportunities. The Eastern World functioned differently to Europe using unique approaches that were uncommon and generally never heard of.
