What was the outcome of battle of Little Bighorn?
Because the US Calvary was slaughtered in this battle, the Indians were seen as a greater threat than ever before. Because of this the calvary was increased in size to 2,500 men and all “indian resistance” was met with a whole new level of brutality. In the end the Indians won the battle, but lost the war. It was not until 1978 that Indian Religions (or the laws banning their practice) was repealed (American Indian Religious Freedom Act).
