What was the result of the Demonstration Phase?
Throughout the Demonstration Phase, performance evaluations and observations were recorded for each of the three vendor solutions. Feedback was collected from students, teachers, and administrators from each of the participating high schools. A third-party evaluator was also contracted by the Department of Education to conduct an extensive technical review of each of the three vendor solutions. All information was compiled for review by various evaluation committees and a recommendation was made to the Department. The Department of Education accepted the recommendation of the committees and renewed the online testing contract with NCS Pearson, Inc. in June of 2001.
