What were Carl Jungs theories?

0

Much of Jung’s theories lie in the the idea of a collective unconsciousness. This posits the thought that much of our behavior is based on archetypal images that dictate how to behave within our relationships & social interactions. We learn these through dreams & visions with the roles laid out before us. This exists for all of us in a constant changing real-time psychic environment that links us all through our experiences. Much of Jung’s thoughts on this come from eastern schools of philosophy, with much emphasis on Taoism from my understanding. I would recommend the website www.carl-jung.net as a place to start & the book “The Portable Jung” for a more comprehensive look into his thoughts. I hope this helps.
