Think it was the other way round, da’zone – she made sure more of the public mistrusted the police (even officers who joined the force to work WITH then, not against them). The current rhetoric tends to switch from one subject to the other – one day it will be self-deprecating ‘learning from mistakes’, the next will be labour-bashing ‘bankrupt…no money left…mess left behind’. Agree with vambo – she turned the north into a graveyard, starting to make the south east attractive to not only people from the south east, but northerners who didn’t care about rebuilding their part of the world, and flew south. A bit like the ‘white flight’.
