Advanage – India was truly unified in hatred against their common enemy, the British… regardless of race, religion and etc. – Britain offered order and security in racially and religiously divided India. – Britain introduced modern science, English literature, and industrial revolution in India which ultimately was responsible for economy boom in India in modern world. – Britain vastly improved and modernized military, which helped the Indians to survive from Japanese invaders in WWII. Disadvantage: – India lost much of potential profit and economy in the name of British Imperialism – Responsible for furthering the wealth gap between rich and the poor – Irresponsible grant of independence too quickly caused disturbing religious split and conflicts in India which forced India to split into Hindu India and Islamic Pakistan. Ghandi was killed in this process. – Many Indians were used by Allied forces in WWII. Many died for a war that was not India’.
