The signs of pancreatic cancer involve jaundice related symptoms (yellowing of the eyes and skin).

Other symptoms are dark urine, light colored or greasy stools, itchy skin, belly or back pain, weight loss and poor appetite, nausea and vomiting, gall bladder and liver enlargement.

One clear symptom (coupled with the previously mentioned ones) are a blood clot in a large vein (often the leg). Fatty tissue abnormalities, and sometimes pancreatic cancer can cause the development of secondary conditions such as the onset of diabetes (however rare). These secondary conditions further complicate the primary disease.

There is also a host of other signs that need to be tested for with blood and other samples that need to be taken.

It is very important to note that having one or more of these symptoms does not necessarily mean you have pancreatic cancer. There are many conditions that mimic these symptoms. It is therefore, very important to see your doctor for further testing to better diagnose the problem (careful not to self-diagnose) and cause yourself needless stress and anxiety.
