Requires a medical diagnosis

There are no symptoms in the early stages. Later stages are associated with symptoms, but these can be non-specific, such as lack of appetite and weight loss.

People may experience:

Pain areas: in the abdomen or middle back

Gastrointestinal: fluid in the abdomen or nausea

Whole body: fatigue or loss of appetite

Also common: dark urine, weight loss, or yellow skin and eyes.

I was never diagnosed with this condition. However…

In short, these are the general symptoms of pancreatic cancer, as reported by the world-famous Mayo Clinic.

“Diseases & Conditions: Pancreatic cancer”
Signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer often don’t occur until the disease is advanced. They may include:
Pain in the upper abdomen that radiates to your back
Loss of appetite or unintended weight loss
New-onset diabetes
Blood clots
• Yellowing of your skin and the whites of your eyes (jaundice)

When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you experience unexplained weight loss or if you have persistent fatigue, abdominal pain, jaundice, or other signs and symptoms that bother you. Many conditions can cause these symptoms, so your doctor may check for these conditions as well as for pancreatic cancer.」 (emphases added)
