• The median age at report is 7 days and the 95 centile is 11 days. The minimum is 3 days of age. These are in keeping with the data presented at the endocrine meeting in December. • We are encountering significant variability in the transportation time for samples to reach the screening laboratory from the various birthing centres due to the internal processes used at the birthing centres as well as to regional differences in the Canada Post Xpresspost specimen transportation system. We are working with both to minimize this transportation time as this has a significant impact on the age of the baby at the time the screening report is available.
