What will do to establish a long term relationship between Albion and Kampala, Uganda?
Upon our return, we plan to involved area Rotary clubs, businesses, churches and other Albion organizations an annual fund-raising project and trip. With SOUL as our partners, we plan to make educational, musical and interactive presentations that not only highlight our trip, our experiences and the children we met, but that provide concrete ways to establish a long-term relationship. Some ideas include, involving the Albion School districts in educational and fundraising initiatives that allow students in the Albion community to become pen pals with children in Kampala. We would also like to establish an Albion College student organization dedicated to this exchange and involve the Albion College First Year Experience team at Albion to establish this as an annual trip for first year students. How can you get involved?
