What will happen during my gynaecology appointment?
I had an appointment once and while I was waiting for my name to be called out i quickly went to the bathroom for a pee. There was no loo roll but I had a napkin in my bag and I used that. Then while I was being examined, the gynecologist got a puzzled look on her face and she took some tweezers and pulled a postage stamp out of my vagina.
Gynaecology is concerned with the female genital tract and its disorders. In many areas, the specialties of gynaecology and obstetrics overlap. Gynaecology has been considered to end at 28 weeks gestation, but practically there is no clear cut-off. Since 1st October 1992, this cut-off may be considered to occur at 24 weeks gestation, since the law and definition of abortion changed to bring it closer to the gestation at which a foetus becomes viable.
