The conduct of the patient will be raised with the appropriate manager in charge eg the GP or clinician with whom the appointment is. Continued non-compliance will be addressed according to local risk assessment processes. This may mean that cigarettes are confiscated during the patient’s stay. Any violent or abusive behaviour from patients will not be tolerated and will be dealt with in line with our Violence & Aggression Policy.
