After you introduce the lesson, typically you will begin each section with an activity in which students work with partners or in small groups. As they work, you’ll circulate, asking and answering questions. You’ll probably then lead a class discussion about the results of the activity. Following this, you might have students read the text of the lesson, or you might present this material yourself. You’ll then work through some of the Discussion questions in the book–you might do this as a class, or have students first discuss in small groups and then present their thoughts. You’ll then assign practice problems and exercises.
