A standard Thanksgiving dinner is turkey with stuffing, mashed potatos, cranberry sauce, rolls, squash, yams or other veggies, dessert is usually pecan pie, pumpkin pie…. maybe a few other pies or desserts. Christmas is also usually a turkey dinner, but lots of people will have ham or something else instead. Trifle is pretty much unknown here. Both dinners are elaborate, but Thanksgiving is more so (as it’s all we usually do on that day… eat and watch football) Also, we don’t have Christmas crackers or wear paper hats at the dinner table : ) Actually my family does, but only because we have an English mother.
