Alot of your top scale salons will not hire a Cosmetologist fresh out of school, but if you want to get your foot in the door, apply for a position as a shampoo tech. You will work under an experienced stylist and she should show you new cutting techniques and coloring techniques you didnt learn in school. Then be patient and give it time after a while you should find yourself behind your own chair. Techs usually make pretty good starting out and it is steady work with steady pay. Good luck.
