What would be the best digital compact camera to take to South Africa?
Most cameras are good. As small as possible ( and that is not because of the BO idiot who always replies negatively about South Africa. He lives in a village and has never travelled, so doesnt have a clue what he is talking about). I grew up in SA, and you are absolutely fine walking around the city centre and suburbs. Not at night as in all over the world. Just dont go into the townships where crime is rife. Keep your bag safe (as in all over the world), and have a fantastic trip. Lots to see and its beautiful.
