If the feeling is localized to the bottom of your foot I would suspect plantar fasciitis. If the whole food below the ankle is involved it kind of sounds like it might be a neuropathy or inflammation of the nerves leading to your foot. Since diabetes is not a consideration in you there are many other things that could be considered. A foot exam either by a podiatrist or general provider would give a good indication of the problem. This could be confirmed by a specialized test called an EMG and then the cause for the problem would have to be sought and treated.
