I get twitching in my eyelids when I eat backyard citrus fruit. It always happens, every single time. Never in the fingers or forearm though. Oh yeah, I have Tourette’s syndrome, but it’s not the cause of the eyelid thing. I have other issues related to the Tourette’s. .

It’s probably just a simple potassium issue, hon. Possibly compounded with dehydration. Eat a banana every day, two a day if you can. Other foods rich in potassium are tomatoes, raisins, figs, plantain, pasta, dried apricots, baked potatoes (eat the skin, too) and orange juice fortified with potassium. You should have a multivitamin daily, along with a lot of water. Within hours of having a banana and a big glass of water your eye, finger and hand should be better. Within 72 hours of eating potassium rich foods and chugging a lot of water you should be 100% over it. If you are taking your multi vitamin, eating potassium rich foods, drinking lots of water but the twitching remains, please see your doctor. Most of the time people benefit from a multi vitamin & potassium rich foods, so keep that in mind.
