What would happen to life if the amount of carbon dioxide in air changed?

if the amount of carbon dioxide decreased the main problem for humans is that plants would produce less oxygen and possibly die if there was very little carbon dioxide and if less oxygen was produced by plants then there would be less oxygen for humans to breath and we would struggle to breath/ successful births would decrease because lots of oxygen is needed to be passed to the baby through the placenta/ and we would possibly die if there was very little oxygen due to very little carbon dioxide.
