Whats a good how-to topic for an informative speech?
Pick something that you know a lot about – whatever that is. Tailor it to the time allotted and you will be good to go. It’s vitally important that whenever you give a speech, that you know what you are talking about, so a good rule of thumb is to know twice as much (or more) about the topic as you are going to share. For example, if it’s a 5 minute speech, know enough that you could talk comfortably about it for 10. I would think the best topic would be someting that you had to do more than once to get it right, because only through failure and repeated trying does anyone get really good at something…for example, I’m a software engineer before you get good code you you have to write it, test it, debug it, modify it, run it through multiple scenarios to make sure you covered all likely scenarios, then test it again before letting it go live.
