Whats a good rule of thumb (formula) for memory size?

The rule of thumb for membory is to have enough to cover the size of any job you send. larger paper size, and duplex will increase the need, and the size of bitmaps will greatly change the size of a print job. We find that most printers today come with stock memory that will allow MOST print jobs sent. If you use a lot of bitmapped graphics, or want to use a lot of duplex and 11×17, it would pay to double that.
