Whats a good side dish with chili?

Chili, right next to chicken noodle soup, is one of the greatest comfort foods available.  Not only that, but there are infinite ways to eat it!  Whether it’s beef, poultry, or vegetarian chili, whether it’s red bean, white bean, or no bean chili, there are numerous ways to enjoy it!  Here are a few ideas.

Top it.  Grated cheese or onions are most popular.  You can also use crumbled cornbread, crackers, or corn chips.

Bake it.  Mix it with cornbread, corn chips, macaroni and cheese, or just cheese, and bake it for a few minutes.

Use it as a topping.  It goes great over rice, baked potatoes, fries, nachos, or even salad!

Serve it as a side dish.  Grilled sandwiches, such as grilled cheese or grilled pastrami, and hamburgers are good for dipping.  Corn bread, hushpuppies, corn chips, and many other varieties of bread also work well for dipping and compliment the flavor of the chili.  You might also consider serving it with a salad.

Enjoy!

I always make grilled cheese sandwiches with chili. Grilled cheese even tastes great dipped in the chili. Another option would be to make some egg noodles and make a something similiar to a Cincinnati style 3-Way. Just ladel the chili over the egg noodles and sprinkle cheese on top. Serve with crackers crumbled on top. Or make chili-mac. Just make a box of macaroni and cheese, mix in the chili or ladel over the top. Add additional shredded cheese to the top if you desire (mexican blend shredded cheeses are really good for this).
